Benefits expected from the work of ISO/TC 37/SC 4

The rules for language resources endorsed in International Standards should benefit all linguistic communities, irrespective of different grammar and writing systems. They will enable each mother tongue or native language to get integrated into modern communication tools by developing the necessary language resources. Special consideration is required to meet various linguistic needs of developing countries and then to co-operate with specialized regional and international organizations. ISO/TC 37/SC 4 documents will promote the development of language engineering applications in multilingual environments.
